12 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill 2021
1. Stop Influencing
A minor Up for Rosemary and Crazzy Steve joining force being a full-blown reunion of Decay (minus Abyss), but their main card opener vs. Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb With A K was as flat as they come.
It should be noted that, to an extent, this was fought under intergender rules rather than standard mixed tag team match rules, as Rosemary locked horns with Kaleb on a handful of occasions. Sadly, Kaleb and Tenille seemed to a) care more about their influencer schtick as opposed to the match itself, and b) wrestled as if they didn't care whatsoever, especially in Dashwood's case. Kaleb at least did some decent offence at certain stages, namely a gorgeous dropkick.
Towards the end of the bout, Rosemary and Steve sprayed Kaleb and Tenille, respectively, with green mist. In the former's case, he acted like he'd been covered in manure, showing a face of disgust instead of flailing around the ring momentarily blinded. A diving DDT from Crazzy Steve spiked Kaleb to end proceedings.
While neither match really had a decent story, you can say with hindsight that this should have been swapped with Josh Alexander vs. Brian Myers in terms of card placement. It'll keep on being stated until it happens; Tenille and Kaleb's work needs to be changed up in order for them to succeed. They're far from the worst workers on the Impact roster, but you can see clearly just how badly they need it.
