12 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Full Gear

Ups...

12. The Buy In Is Good Now

Full Gear's Buy In pre-show saw AEW flip the format's criticism by turning the 60 minutes into a massive advertisement for the pay-per-view to come, providing enough room for Britt Baker vs. Bea Priestley in the process.

The broadcast started by screening (almost) the entire Countdown: Full Gear show that aired shortly after this week's Dynamite. A smart move, as this was an excellent production that more people needed to see heading into the event, and it did a particularly great job of enhancing the Pride & Powerful vs. Young Bucks programme through sharp, expertly-produced promos. After that, we got Baker's top-notch Dark promo in which she effectively promised to rip Priestley's jaw off in the ring.

Recycled content? Sure, but the right content. That's what matters here. AEW have fixed the broken Buy In format.
