4. Bayley Pulls A Flair On Charlotte

Bayley managed to hold onto her SmackDown Women’s Championship Sunday night despite barely landing an offensive move during the entire match.

But it was her biggest move – removing a turnbuckle pad – that paid dividends, as Bayley tripped Charlotte Flair into the exposed steel for the win. It was, as the announcers noted, something Charlotte’s father Ric Flair would have approved of. The move, coupled with Bayley then sprinting out of the arena with her title, really illustrated the Huggable One’s new persona, as she still views herself as the heroine, but clearly will sink to any level to win. In short, the ends justify the means.

For Charlotte, the hometown loss really stinks, but as a nine-time champion and likely the most bankable woman on the roster, she could eat this loss and come out fine in the long run.
