12 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Clash Of Champions 2019

1. Rollins Slays The Monster

For whatever reason, Seth Rollins seems to have good matches against big, unstoppable monsters. He’s delivered twice this year against Brock Lesnar, and he and Braun Strowman had an energetic Universal Championship match Sunday night.

Rollins used his speed to his advantage, sticking and moving with offense like a series of superkicks, chop blocks and springboard knee strikes to keep Braun off-balance, while Strowman used his brute strength to take Seth down several times.

In the end, it took three stomps, a Pedigree and a fourth stomp to finally keep Strowman down for a 3 count. You could make the argument that WWE keeps failing to pull the trigger on Braun, but at this stage, it’s just safe to assume they’re not going to do it and just accept that he is who he is and he is where he is in the pecking order.

But overall, a good – albeit short – title match to close out the PPV.
