12 Ways WWE Would Have Different If Brock Lesnar Hadn't Quit

1. Fan Apathy, Loss Of Value, Semi Retirement

By 2010, Lesnar would have been suffering from the same problem that blighted Batista in that period, fan apathy. It would have dented his value somewhat, and like Batista, he may have considered semi retirement. The fact is that he'd have been wrestling for ten years straight at that point. Wrestling fans are some of the most fickle people on earth, and have turned on almost every wrestler who has been a regular for that long. The Brock Lesnar of this alternate universe simply wouldn't have the same value of the real Lesnar. Sticking with WWE would have ironically diminished his value, as the UFC was responsible for making his perception so much bigger. If he stayed with WWE, he simply wouldn't be the star that he is today. He'd have had some great moments between 2004 - 2010, as detailed in this feature, but by the end of the decade he'd be used up and just another one of the guys. He'd do a Batista and take off, coming back for the occasional big match. But it would be nothing like his current part time deal. The Lesnar who stayed with WWE in 2004 simply wouldn't have developed the leverage that Lesnar achieved from his UFC glory days.
