12 Ways WWE Would Have Different If Brock Lesnar Hadn't Quit
2. Putting The Next Generation Over
Following the win over the streak, Lesnar would ride a wave of momentum. However, it is worth remembering that 2008 - 2010 saw him debilitated by diverticulitis in the UFC. That would have also blighted him in the WWE, limiting his career in the period after 2008. By the end of that decade he'd be getting jobbed out to help the next generation of talent. That was actually the plan for Lesnar after beating The Undertaker's streak in 2014. He was meant to use that to put over the next generation (Roman Reigns) at WrestleMania 31. Given that he'd have won the streak as early as 2007 if he'd stayed with WWE, it is conceivable that he'd have been putting over guys in 2008, 2009 and 2010. The likes of Jeff Hardy or CM Punk may have been given wins over Brock, as WWE looked to develop fresh stars in that period.
