There are no shortage of reasons why WWE's "Divas' Revolution" has bombed, but one of the lesser-mentioned maybe that (even after NXT standouts Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch were called up in the hopes of replicating the great chemistry they had in the developmental brand) the division still revolved around champion Nikki Bella. Bella won the title in controversial fashion from AJ Lee at the 2014 Survivor Series, and she went on to dominate the competition throughout the year, retaining her championship at the expense of more talented divas like Naomi, Paige, and Tamina. At the same time, a feud between her and sister Brie morphed into an alliance without adequate explanation, all while the two women maintained a constant presence on WWE television. By the time Charlotte beat Bella for the Divas' Championship, it was too little, too late. Nikki is currently out of action with a neck injury. Hopefully she makes a quick recovery and returns to a more appropriate spot on the WWE roster.
