12 WrestleMania 35 Match Predictions Following WWE Fastlane 2019

8. Shane McMahon Vs. The Miz

Roman Reigns
WWE

Shane McMahon's well-received Fastlane heel turn slightly wrong-footed many that assumed the 'Boy Wonder' was immune to such booking in modern day WWE, but the surprisingly enjoyable climax to their union capped off a storyline that has already over-delivered on what were presumably quite tempered expectations.

The involvement of Miz' dad was, at times, a little too on-the-nose, until Shane McMahon almost took Mr Mizanin's hooter clean off when he cruelly grabbed him by the face.

The build will hopefully be cathartic at both ends - McMahon's been a detestable character masquerading as a babyface for years now, whilst Miz' overdue face turn pays off years of incredibly hard graft becoming one of the company's most important all-rounders. Expectations should be lower than usual for the match itself too - if anyone can overachieve on the 'Grandest Stage', it's two sons looking to desperately impress their fathers, not least in the wake of such an impressive split.
