On the September 10th, 2012 episode of WWE's Monday Night Raw, Jerry 'The King' Lawler collapsed at ringside. The veteran announcer suffered a heart attack live on air, in one of the most frightening moments to ever occur on the program. His announce partner, Michael Cole, was naturally shaken by the event, and the remaining matches on the show went ahead without commentary. Right next to the announce table, paramedics worked on Lawler, trying to resuscitate him. Quickly, it was decided he needed to go to hospital. There, he was stabilised, and the cause of the incident was later attributed to an unexplained cardiac arrest episode. Millions of wrestling fans across the world sent WWE messages praying for Lawler to recover. Incredibly, this past Halloween, Lawler was involved in another life-threatening incident. On October 31st, the man was in a car accident alongside his girlfriend. The smash was reportedly bad enough to have killed someone, but Jerry managed to escape with his life.
