Bill Eadie is best-remembered as part of the fearsome Demolition tag-team. Alongside Barry Darsow, the pair appeared as 'Ax' and 'Smash' respectively. Eadie's booming voice and large frame made him an intimidating presence, but he was very nearly destroyed by a piece of shell fish in Japan. During his time in the Orient, Eadie developed a severe allergic reaction to the food. Eating a meal with his wife, the wrestler fell from his seat. During his appearance on The Ross Report podcast, hosted by Jim Ross, Eadie revealed that he experienced an out of body sensation. The shell fish had caused the man to develop a serious heart condition, one exacerbated by the consumption of the fish. To this day, Eadie says that he was looking down on his dead body, and could see his wife crying trying to revive him. It's difficult for some people to imagine such a thing actually happening, but Bill Eadie doesn't seem like a man prone to hyperbole. He describe floating upwards, before descending back down into his body.
