At least Ayako Hamada had a lengthy in-ring career before she was forced to call it quits. Meanwhile, New Japan's Tetsuhiro Yagi wasn't quite so fortunate. He, at the tender age of 26, let NJPW officials know that he was exercising his right to step away from wrestling. Just like that, Yagi's one-year run was over.

Injuries are said to have played a major part in his decision.

Tetsuhiro fractured bones in his forearm during the group's 'Road To Wrestling Dontaku' tournament, and he'd never return. A scant 12 months after hitting the scene and impressing by both entering 2017's Young Lion Cup tourney and teaming with Tiger Mask, Yagi announced his retirement.
