12 Wrestlers Who Will Eventually End Up In All Elite Wrestling

The former Jack Swagger has actually made out a bit better than most wrestlers who have left WWE in the last few years.

He didn't amount to the same level of success on the independent scene as Cody, but he didn't fade into obscurity like Ryback either. Rather, though he worked a handful of independent wrestling shows, it's MMA where he has made a fresh name for himself. He signed with Bellator in late 2017, and over a year later, he had his first fight against J.W. Kiser, emerging victorious.

Hager's second fight also ended with a W for him, so it's clear he has a future in that world. Wrestling may not be his bread and butter at the moment, but he's gone on the record in saying he's had talks with Cody and The Young Bucks about coming into All Elite Wrestling eventually.

A former world champion in WWE and now a bona fide badass, Hager has name value and can lend a lot of legitimacy to AEW. That's not to say that he'd be the AEW equivalent to Brock Lesnar, as he'd likely make way more appearances than The Beast Incarnate, but with actual MMA experience and a few wins under his belt, he definitely wouldn't be the Swagger of old.

It may be a while before Hager surfaces in AEW, but when he does, expect it to be a big deal.
