12 Wrestlers Without Direction For WrestleMania 33

1. John Cena

Rarely is the WrestleMania status of the current (and brand new) WWE Champion so up in the air in February, but that's curiously the case for the 'Face That Runs The Place' following his fabulous victory over AJ Styles.

After all initial backstage hubbub originally pointed to Undertaker vs Cena at the 'Show of Shows', hopes for the potential dream match were dashed when Vince McMahon himself allegedly threw the entire planned card out in a January reshuffle.

Though abandoning plans with 'The Deadman', WWE wouldn't dream of leaving 'Big Match John' out of the show, but as the current titleholder on Smackdown Live, yet another scuffle with Royal Rumble winner Randy Orton seems a creatively and commercially stagnant path to choose.

In the meantime, Cena is tasked with defending his title at February's 'Elimination Chamber' Pay-Per-View, where virtually all of his five contenders would offer a more pleasing title confrontation with Orton, leaving the 'Leader of the Cenation' out in the cold again.

It remains to be seen who, if anybody, from Smackdown Live can step up to Cena on the biggest night of the year, but if he loses his title in the February 12th cage war, yet another midcard compromise may be the only slot for 'The Doctor of Thuganomics'.
