12 Wrestlers WWE Removed From History

11. Owen Hart

Owen Hart's absences from WWE history is not solely down to the WWE. Martha Hart, Owen's widow, sued WWE in 2010, claiming they used the "Owen Hart" name and likeness in several WWE productions without permission or payment. The case settled in 2013 and he has barely been mentioned since in WWE, although his past work is available as part of the content on WWE Network. But his place in history isn't fully recognised. He isn't part of the WWE Hall Of Fame, and is almost never brought up in discussion of great moments or matches. This is despite the fact that he was one of the very best in-ring workers of the nineties, arguably a better worker than big brother Bret. Legally and morally, WWE don't want to mess with a widow. Fans should also respect the fact that this is a personal family matter. What he did in WWE was just a job, given the way it ended, his family don't want WWE making money on his name by selling him in company history.
