10. CM Punk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2pH8t5xEgw Everyone knows about THAT pipebomb, the one that led to CM Punk becoming the biggest star in the industry and one of the top merchandise movers of the decade. What they may not know is that it was hardly the first time the opinionated Chicago native had spoken his mind in front of the wrestling fans, infuriating some while earning the respect of others. In fact, one of his final appearances in Ring of Honor featured the Straight Edge Superstar taking a step that disrespected that promotion's heavyweight title while establishing Punk as the most hated man in the indy company. Having come to a verbal agreement to join World Wrestling Entertainment in 2005, he was in the midst of finishing up his obligations to his home promotion. What fans could not have seen coming was Punk's unexpected winning of the ROH Championship and a subsequent heel turn that pulled the wool over the fans' eyes. In his first appearance with the title, he cut a promo on the fans that he betrayed, former ROH loyalists-turned-TNA competitors AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels and reveled in the fact that he was able to fool so many of his peers. While there were certainly cutting words in his promo, it was the pipebomb he dropped when he pulled out his WWE contract and signed it directly on top of the ROH Championship that shocked fans and drew the ire of the entire locker room. It was certainly a disrespectful action by the top heel in the promotion but one that helped ensure that the Chicago native would not be cheered as he entered his final few ROH shows. He was brilliant as he held the crowd in the palm of his hands, regardless of the insults hurled in their direction, and delivered one of the most infamous moments in the history of wrestling's premiere independent promotion.
