12 WWE Monsters That Failed

9. Matt Morgan

A man so seemingly custom-built to be a star that he'd be christened 'The Blueprint', Matt Morgan's repeated WWE false starts remain puzzling to this day.

After injuring himself as a cast member on the second season of WWE's scripted reality training show 'Tough Enough', Morgan was signed following his quick recovery, reporting to Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2002.

With a year's seasoning, Morgan made his Smackdown debut as a henchman for new General Manager Paul Heyman, and even found his way onto the monstrous 'Team Lesnar', alongside A-Train, Nathan Jones, The Big Show and 'The Beast' in time for that year's 'Survivor Series' event.

However, this marked the peak of his original run in the organisation. A relatively uninteresting stint in January 2004's 'Royal Rumble' followed but then Morgan disappeared off television for a year as writers tried to figure out how best to use his power and presence.

A dye-job and a speech impediment were not the winning suggestions.

Short on motivation other than defensiveness over his stutter, Morgan was briefly paired with Carlito as his bodyguard, but the 2005 draft splut the pair, and Morgan was gone from the company weeks later.
