12 WWE Monsters Whose Muscles Were Bigger Than Their Skills
2. Zeus
Perhaps it's a bit unfair to include Tiny Lister on this list. After all, he was never truly a wrestler, but an actor who worked a few matches. Nonetheless, those matches are memorable, both for the spectacle of seeing him in the ring and for how utterly horrible they were, so let's give the man his due. Before Deebo got famous for stealing chains, Lister assumed the role of Zeus in the 1989 so-bad-it's-good film No Holds Barred. A WWE produced flick starring Hulk Hogan as Rip facing his biggest challenge in Zeus, Vince McMahon sought to cross-promote by having Zeus show up on WWE television to ask the Hulkster what he had on his 40, homie. This led to an actual match and the feud headlined SummerSlam 1989 with Zeus and Randy Savage taking on Hogan and Brutus Beefcake in an ugly affair. Never mind the fact that just having him in WWE blurred the lines between kayfabe and reality, which wasn't yet widespread. He had several matches for Vince and then another very brief run against Hogan as Z-Gangsta in 1996 before resuming his acting full-time. Lister has had a very respectable career in Hollywood, usually playing the heavy and has some memorable roles in his catalog. He's a great addition to a movie cast. He just had no business in a wrestling ring.
