A lifelong wrestling fan, independent star Colt Cabana finally signed a WWE developmental contract in April 2007. A longtime friend of superstar CM Punk and Ring of Honor Veteran, Cabana's WWE career was mostly relegated to dark matches and training at developmental territories Ohio Valley Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling. Cabana didn't move on to the main television roster until August 2008 when he joined Smackdown as the goofy Scotty Goldman. His tenure was short and he failed to take home the winner's purse a single time. Five months later he re-emerged to lose in a battle royal and be destroyed by Umaga. Despite some entertaining website video segments, Cabana was little utilized during his time working for WWE. He was released in February 2009 and has since returned to touring the world as hardworking independent wrestling star and hosting his popular wrestling podcast.
