12 WWE Superstars Who Weren’t Drafted (And Why)

4. Randy Orton

Randy Orton
WWE

Many expected Randy Orton's iconic entrance track to blare out over speakers at some stage during WrestleMania 39 weekend. A full-blown match would've been pushing it, but some guessed he'd return to blast guest host The Miz with an RKO before posing for the fans.

That didn't happen.

Randy is still on injury lists with a back problem, and hasn't been part of the product since May 2022. A few appearances here or there on shows like The Bump and the like have kept him busy, but the world waits with bated breath for Rev Theory's familiar, "I hear voices in my head..." line to ring out loud.

Do not be surprised if Orton is announced as a free agent when he eventually does return to action. He'd be a useful face for WWE to have at their disposal on both Raw and SmackDown. The 'Viper' could slither between both brands, basically (sorry).
