Luke Harper is a changed man! Don't believe it? Check out his new vest.

That's basically how WWE have approached his long-awaited breakaway from cult leader Bray Wyatt, but ignoring facetious wardrobe criticisms, the time must now come for the ultra-talented underling to properly distance himself from the entire storyline.

He had his best night since the split on the post-WrestleMania edition of Smackdown Live!, stealing the headlines in a tag team main event alongside Randy Orton against former oppressors Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan.

However, possibly more than any single performer on either roster, he has to be given something new beyond a different coloured top. As it goes, trimming the wild beard and hair associated with his past life would also be a positive aesthetic step.

If the character has any chance of surviving the initial period where he'll still be linked to his past life, a wholesale change of scenery would be perfect, and completely new opponents would be the least the company could do.

The superstar shake-up thus presents the perfect opportunity to pull the trigger, allowing Harper a fresh start as a babyface with a raft of different combatants.
