12 WWE TLC 2018 Impulse Reactions

11. Play It Again, Sam(son)

Charlotte Becky Asuka
WWE

WWE hastily changed the stipulation to this match in order to make the competitors slightly less stupid, but only slightly less - the booking still ensured that neither of these men are to be stuck with long term.

Elias has all the charm of a man knowing that his best days may be behind him. Interrupted for heat instead of pops now, his lines are carrying less and less weight and enthusiasm as he morphs into yet another wretched low-rent John Cena type, whilst Bobby Lashley can flex his a*se all he wants but he is at this point merely the butt of a joke gone very very wrong.

The former 'Drifter' actually "won" here by claiming his hanging instrument, before Bobby and Lio Rush got their own wins by decking him after the fact and actually using it. It's a good job WWE killed pay-per-view when they launched the Network - precisely nobody would consider sticking around for the rest of the show if this was the bait.
