12 WWE WrestleMania 35 Card Predictions After Survivor Series 2018
3. Universal Title: Brock Lesnar (c) Vs. Drew McIntyre
It's unlikely that we're getting round two of Brock Lesnar as an all-conquering Thanos-esque Universal Champion (purple flesh and all), but he'll likely hold it through 2019's first quarter. He isn't expected to wrestle at TLC in December. Though Braun Strowman looks a likely Royal Rumble opponent, reports of backstage heat and recent booking patterns suggest 'The Monster' might not scoop the top prize. A shame and a waste.
While Strowman could conceivably claim the big red belt by 'Mania, we're not betting on it. This leaves Lesnar with one logical opponent.
WWE have been quietly building Drew McIntyre up as a headliner from the moment he arrived on the main roster. He can talk and wrestle, has a great look, and carries himself like a star. The company understand and appreciate this, and have booked him with a level of care afforded to nobody but their top guys, and all this aligns perfectly with recent reports that they see the Scot as a potential money-maker.
McIntyre would ideally entire this match having split from (and dealt with) Dolph Ziggler. Fingers crossed he wins the big one.
