3. War Raiders (NXT Takeover: WarGames II)

What Was It: Not only is this the most recent example on the list, it's also the outfit that inspired this article. At NXT TakeOver: WarGames II, Hanson and Rowe went into the titular main event rocking some serious Road Warriors swag. Their creations have even been handed a WWE.com gallery to mark the occasion.

Why It Was Cool: Two tag-teams instantly come to mind, and that's The Road Warriors and Demolition. Hawk, Animal, Ax and Smash would have given a hearty thumbs up to the War Raiders effort. Their sleek take on viking battle gear fit the bill and sold the headliner as exactly what it was: war.

Hanson's mask had a Vader-esque appeal (mixed with some subtle flavours of Hannibal Lecter) and Rowe's went for a more straightforward vibe, albeit with horror movie stitching straight up the middle. This was wrestling mask porn, and the shoulder padding didn't hurt the aesthetic either.
