13 Essential Tips For Passing A WWE Try-Out
7. Respect Your Elders
The Young Bucks notoriously burned some bridges during a 2011 trial. As the story goes, the Bucks ended their tryout poorly by apparently disrespecting Booker T by refusing to shake his hand. Booker responded by trashing them on Twitter, leading to a revolt that saw their characters called into question by a couple of legends, in the shape of Rob Van Dam, who called them "cold" to him in TNA and Goldust:
"As Booker says... better show some respect when in the locker room, there are good teachers here that know more than you Young Bucks... Just a reminder€ if trying out for WWE extend your hand, be polite and respectful and do what you'er told. You don't have to like the golden one, but you will respect my knowledge of the business... jfyi"
In that respect, it's not at all surprising that the Bucks turned down the chance to try out again in September 2014, further p*ssing off the company at an even higher level. But it's probably rare anyone would ever get a second chance after disrespecting anyone (who even knows how that second tryout would have gone?!). Paying your dues extends beyond time in the ring.
