5. The Undertaker Returns - Survivor Series 2005

Another high point of that legendary Survivor Series career was the Undertaker’s surprise return at end of the 2005 show.

The Phenom hadn’t been seen on television since being locked inside a casket and doused into flames by Randy Orton at No Mercy 2005. So with Orton celebrating his victory for Team SmackDown in the closing moments of the Survivor Series PPV, ‘Taker clearly thought this was as good a time as any to seek some sweet revenge.

Hoisted onto the shoulders of his SmackDown buddies, Orton was bathing in his glory. Until all of a sudden that familiar toll of the bell sounded and, naturally, Orton began to panic.

Smoke filled the arena, everything went purple for some reason and a procession of druids made their way onto the ramp—ominous casket in hand. A totally legit bolt of lightning then struck the casket, erupting it into flames, before the Deadman himself burst out of the vessel to formally announce his return.

Orton’s expressions were absolutely on point, as ‘Taker strode to the ring and took out every one of the SmackDown goons, sending Brian Kendrick up so high for a chokeslam that I swear he came down with snow on him.

If you didn’t think that this whole segment was awesome, I’d recommend checking your pulse.
