13 More Interpromotional Dream Wrestling Matches We Must See
8. The Elite (NJPW) Vs. The Unlikely Trio (LU)
Ivelisse, Angélico and Son of Havoc wound up being the most cohesive team in Lucha Undergrounds first season. The Bullet Club, in its various incarnations, has been one of New Japans most dominant teams for years. What happens when the dysfunctional but resilient Trio collides with a Bullet Club newly refocused under the maniacal leadership of Kenny Omega? The Bucks are no strangers to intergender wrestling: they famously bloodied Candice LeRae in an extremely violent Guerilla Warfare match. While LeRae is a tremendous competitor, she doesn't have anything close to the mean streak boasted by Ivelisse. Scrappy underdog Son of Havoc makes an ideal foil for the cackling egoism of Omega, and Angélico is a wild card that can sometimes fly for real. What Should Happen: Angélico disappears halfway through the match, then reappears at the climax to execute a flying body press out of the Shields old arena helicopter.
