13 More Interpromotional Dream Wrestling Matches We Must See

9. Dean Ambrose (WWE) Vs. Tetsuya Naito (NJPW)

Dean Ambrose is a scumbag with a heart of gold. Tetsuya Naito is a scumbag with a heart of scum. They're also kind of eternal also-rans: Ambrose seems cursed to live in the long, damp shadow of Roman Reigns, while Naito has struggled to insert himself into a main event scene already crowded by Styles, Okada, Tanahashi and Nakamura. However, Ambrose seems to be burning with a new fire following the 2016 Royal Rumble, while Naito and his Ingobernables de Japón seem poised to make their mark on a depleted New Japan roster. On paper, the two match up well. They are very similar in age, experience and weight, though Ambrose has a definite height and reach advantage over Naito. However, the so-called Stardust Genius is an order of magnitude above the Lunatic Fringe in terms of athletic prowess. Further, Naito has an arsenal of three regular finishers and an extensive array of signature maneuvers, while lately Ambrose just spams the Wackyline. What Should Happen: Ambrose going for his fifteenth Wackyline of the match and getting creamed by a Stardust Press.
