13 Most Emotional WrestleMania Moments

4. Champion Vs. Champion

At the time, Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior was the biggest wrestling match of all time. Hogan had been the dominating force for years in the then-WWF, but then came an intense, frenetic wrestler who was seeing his popularity grow to the same level as Hulkamania. That man, of course, was The Ultimate Warrior. And so the stage was set, Wrestlemania 6, the WWF Champion Hulk Hogan vs. the Intercontinental Champion Ultimate Warrior with Hogan€™s title on the line in what was dubbed €œThe Ultimate Challenge€. This was the first time that fans had seen two hugely popular babyfaces battle it out on the Grandest Stage of Them All. In fact, the coming together of the company€™s top heroes is something that has been scarcely seen since at Wrestlemania. In terms of crowd response, the fans at Toronto€™s SkyDome were firmly split. At a push, it could be argued that there were just about more fans on the side of the Warrior than there were cheering on The Hulkster. Either way, the noise was deafening, the match was a surprisingly good encounter between two performers generally thought of as being average at best in the ring, and the atmosphere was electric. The Ultimate Warrior would win the match, with Hogan presenting him with the WWF Title after the match in a moment that still lives on in the memory of many.
