13 Most Profitable Years In WWE History

9. 2001 - $42,233,000

There's no doubt that 2001 was one of the most memorable in pro wrestling history, for both good and bad reasons.

The implementation of WCW into WWE programming was the big story, with July's Invasion becoming the most bought B-show PPV of all time. But bad creative ensures 2001 is remembered as the year "Attitude" died.

Still, the company made an impressive $42,233,000 profit. Wrestling profits were actually $42,948,000, with a tax break of $4,638,000 figured in for shutting down the XFL, but losses on The World Restaurant amounted to $4,903,000.
