13 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About WrestleMania 31
11. Does AJ Lee Even Want To Be At Wrestlemania?
AJ Lee's in a funny position. She's signed to WWE for the foreseeable future, but her husband is the guy who buried the company ten feet deep, has a lawsuit out against him from the company's lead physician, and though not on TV for under six months is still the most popular babyface women's wrestler in the company. If you were AJ, the idea of wrestling at Wrestlemania in order to give the rub to rising-in-popularity performer Paige would just feel almost unnecessary. Of course, she's doing it, as she understands the old school territory idea of making stars before you leave the area. But wow. Have we ever seen someone look more like they're going through the motions? Have we ever likely sympathized with someone more for looking near-listless in the ring? No. WWE will likely call up a number of NXT divas post-Wrestlemania and give them the rub of either beating Paige or having a feud in which they defeat her, too. It is what it is, and we can definitely call it bizarre.
