13 Things We Learned From Finn Balor On Talk Is Jericho

2. The Success Of NXT

Jericho asks if Balor is surprised at how much the brand of NXT is getting over with fans, pointing out how they had 5,000 paid fans for their WrestleMania weekend show which wasn't even televised. He says what really surprised him was when he made his debut and they flashed the name "Prince Devitt" on the screen, the response it received was pretty overwhelming. He still gets fans out in public referring to him as Devitt. He says he's coming to grips with the reach that wrestling has, been mentions that guys like Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy really don't understand it, talking about how they have people at live events going through their entrance promos word for word. Balor says that before he even considered signing with WWE he used to set his DVR to record NXT because he was a fan of the show, and when he joined the organization a lot of the guys were surprised that he knew them because they weren't even aware they were on TV outside of the WWE Network.
