13 Things We Learned From Finn Balor On Talk Is Jericho

3. Moving To The United States

Finn says moving to the US was a big adjustment, and despite the fact that he's 33 he'd never learned to drive. He said that was his biggest worry coming to America and he spent six weeks practicing for his driver's test before getting his license. He names Neville as his riding partner, with Balor driving while he works the GPS, and that Neville's Geordie accent is so thick sometimes he can't understand his directions. He mentions that he's gotten a bit soft, saying that the humor in Ireland is much sharper. Balor talks about how another difference is just how convenient everything is and he's "befuddled at the sheer size of everything." He talks about there being gigantic sports stores on every block in the US, where as back in Ireland there's just one small one for miles and miles, and he can't figure out where all the customers are coming from. The NXT star puts over Regal, Matt Bloom, Normal Smiley and Robbie Brookside as being big helps and talks about how his arrival coinciding with Hideo Itami was a big help also as they get to experience everything together.
