13 Things We Learned From New Day On Talk Is Jericho
8. Frustrations
Jericho talks about how it can be up and down in WWE in terms of how you build and lose momentum, and brings up Kofi putting Orton through a table at Madison Square Garden and what a hot angle that was. Kofi accentuates his thought by pointing out that he didn't do anything the week after that. Xavier says he was introduced as nothing more than R-Truth's friend, adding that that's the exact same way he debuted in TNA when he was Consequences Creed. Chris asks how frustrating the stopping and starting was, and Xavier says that it was but that it was also a positive because it's where their bond came from. Big E. agrees and says that a lot of people don't realize they were working together on house shows for months before they ever teamed up on TV, and that they're already coming up on a year of traveling together. E. says that they knew Vince's original idea for them was going to be difficult to pull off but that the selling point would be the chemistry between then three of them. He says a lot of times you can tell when people are just thrown together, and that's not the case with them. Jericho says he knew it would be a hard babyface gimmick to get over but knew it would be great when they turned heel.
