13 Things We Learned From The Undertaker On Joe Rogan Experience

1. His Thoughts On CM Punk's WWE Exit And UFC Run

One topic that many may have hoped to come up on this episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast was that of wrestler-turned-MMA fighter CM Punk - and this precise subject was on the table as this latest pod offering came to a close.

When Rogan asked the Undertaker his thoughts on the Straight-Edge Superstar's WWE exit and subsequent decision to fight in the UFC, the Phenom responded:

"I'm not real close with him, we got along, but I didn't understand it. He had an issue with the company, and sometimes people just need a new challenge. But he was a top dude, he was a top guy for the company. I don't know enough because I wasn't around enough at that time, but I don't know if he had enough background. It was kind of late in the game, I think, for him to make that transition. It was easier for Brock, Brock had that really strong wrestling pedigree. Punk, I don't know. If he just wanted the challenge, good for him."

Both Rogan and the Undertaker would go on and discuss how it would've been far better for CM Punk to start from the ground up, working amateur MMA fights first - rather than being dropped straight into the UFC.
