13 Things We Learned From Vickie Guerrero On Talk Is Jericho
4. Getting Over & Winning The Title
Jericho says that when The Radicalz jumped, Chris Benoit was the one they had pegged to be the star out of the group, but that it wasn't long before Eddie became the standout worker of the foursome due to having such a great character. Vickie says that so much of that character and those vignettes are really Eddie and that's why it connected so well. Chris asks about the night he won the title from Brock Lesnar and if he had told her or she knew what was going on. She said she had a hunch but he didn't tell her, noting that he didn't speak to her at all for the two days prior because he was so focused. She hates that she missed one of the most important nights of his career but is glad that his mom and brother, Mondo were there to witness that moment. Jericho wonders how he acted afterward - assuming it would be just another day at the office for Eddie - but Vickie talks about how he called her excitedly after the fact. She says that he was an underdog and no one expected him to win and viewed him beating Lesnar as a joke. It says something about Eddie that she's 100% wrong here, because Guerrero was so over that the fans absolutely did buy him beating Brock for the title and were totally rabid for it.
