No one would ever think that Evan Bourne was destined for the main event in WWE, but the high-flying superstar saw his pushes repeatedly stunted by injuries and suspensions during his tenure with the company. Bourne was starting to make waves shortly after his debut in 2008, wrestling for the ECW Championship and winning a Slammy for Best Finishing Maneuver. But he injured his ankle that October, which would keep him out of action for five months. Bourne returned and was involved with some high-profile angles with Chris Jericho, John Cena and Randy Orton, but he would again be sidelined by injury. It looked like Bourne got back on track in 2011 when he and Kofi Kingston formed a tag team dubbed Air Boom and won the WWE Tag Team Championships, but he would be suspended twice in a three-month span for violating the companys wellness policy. While out on suspension in 2012, Bourne broke his foot. He never returned to television before being released in 2014.
