13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Mar 18)

5. Evil Never Dies

Jake Roberts Lance Archer
AEW

Jake 'The Snake' Roberts rules.

His voice is ravaged and it sounds like these promos hurt, but he's still one of the most sinister and menacing men in the business. You get the chills when this man opens his mouth. When he says he's going to do something, it feels like a promise, not a threat, and last night's promo would've left viewers worrying for Cody's safety.

Roberts said he'd offered Cody respect but received none in return. 'The American Nightmare' had ignored a man he should be paying attention to. He added that it was one thing to stay away from him and Lance Archer and keep out of harm's, but Cody had effectively spat in his face, and while this wasn't supposed to turn into something personal, it will. Cody had his chance. Now, Archer and Roberts are going to grab his attention. "Think about it."

Looming over Cody's Blood and Guts campaign like haunting spectres, Roberts and Archer feel like they're about to maul AEW's ace. This feud is already riveting and they haven't even laid hands on each other yet.
