13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Mar 18)

12. Jurassic Express Overcome The Butcher, The Blade, And The Botches

Luchasaurus The Blade
AEW

Jurassic Express vs. The Butcher and the Blade had a few botchy moments, particularly towards the end. Though they weren't enough to spoil the match entirely, they certainly dragged it down a notch, taking it from "good" to "pretty decent" or whatever terms you prefer.

Either way, this worked. Stemming from last week's trios bout in which Luchasaurus' fossilised body was ground to dust as he, not Jungle Boy, absorbed the heat, this was worked to Jurassic's usual format as Jack Perry was punished ahead of the big man's hot tag. Is a hot tag still a hot tag in a cold building? Lord knows, but it doesn't matter: we still got to see Luchasaurus doing his big lad flippy stuff, a hoss fight showdown with The Butcher, and MJF dealing out poor advice to cost his charges the match.

MJF's demand that The Butcher and the Blade hit their Full Death finisher took them off their game, allowing Jurassic to isolate Blade for the pinfall. A neat little story point as the team moves forward.
