13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Mar 18)

8. Backwoods Gold

Lance Archer
AEW

Dynamite headed to deepest, darkest Texas for a trip to the Murderhawk Mansion, as Lance Archer lined up a procession of scruffy goobers to destroy one by one in his makeshift ring.

This segment ruled. Essentially a glorified uber-squash, it saw Jake 'The Snake' Roberts take a seat while his monstrous charge battered geek after geek, putting them down with pounces, slams, and the EBD Claw. In the end, only a pile of twitching bodies remained. Archer cut through them ruthlessly, with the unique production elevating it.

The segment did more Archer than any in-ring squash versus Jimmy Ping and/or Tony Bone ever could have. Imagine what this guy is going to do to the full-time roster once the shackles are off.
