13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Revolution 2022

Ups...

13. Swerve City

Shane Strickland
AEW

Though Tony Schiavone spoiled the reveal for home reviews by accidentally flashing a contract labelled "SWERVE" during his preamble, it was good to see Shane Strickland turning up in All Elite Wrestling nonetheless.

Swerve's introduction was brief. Looking like a million dollars in his suit, he gave the audience a brief address, made his presence felt, and left, doing so as a fully-signed AEW wrestler.

Yes, Tony Khan has already given him the Twitter graphic treatment.

It's a good signing. Full of untapped potential ready to be mined by a capable booker, Strickland is a multi-tool player with an incredibly high ceiling. He has been waiting for mainstream wrestling to give him the ball for a long time. Now, he'll have the opportunity to soar in an environment where his creativity will be celebrated, not hindered.
