13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Revolution 2022

7. Jurassic Express vs. reDRagon vs. The Young Bucks

The Tag Team Title match was exactly what Jurassic Express needed after a lukewarm start to their run with the belts.

At no point had Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus felt like a bigger, more important deal than the ongoing tension-building exercises between reDRagon and The Young Bucks. That changed at Revolution. The majority of what happened in this three-way was calibrated to make Jurassic look as good as possible, from Jungle Boy ruling the ring in the opening stages and wiping all of the heels out, to Luchasaurus' signature pop-pop-pop sequences, the best of which saw him kip up and immediately hit a couple of Chokeslams.

Jungle Boy ended up pinning Matt Jackson for the victory. With the Bucks and reDRagon's squabbling to continue and other exciting matches on the horizon for Jurassic, it was the right outcome - and warranted by the performances. Jurassic came out of this looking like a million dollars.

Technically, the match was extremely impressive. It was, at heart, a spotfest peppered with trademark Elite melodrama, with close to flawless execution. These big, complicated stunts require expert coordination, timing, position, and execution to get right and look natural within the flow of a worked fight. Lesser workers would have made a mess of this match and its elaborate sequences, but not these guys. Elite wrestlers doing elite things in an elite match.
