13 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown On FOX (Oct 4)

5. Four Horsewomen Lead The Way

Using NXT's old Four Horsewomen as a reintroduction to SmackDown's in-ring product was a sharp move that demonstrates just how much WWE value these performers and what they bring to the table.

It would've been easy for the company to throw a Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, or Brock Lesnar into this spot, but no: they went with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch vs. Bayley and Sasha Banks. New viewers would have immediately known that these people and their ongoing issues are big deals.

It helps that the match was a little firecracker, too. While not quite on par with the banger they worked in Madison Square Garden a few weeks ago, it was short, snappy, and full of life. These four have worked together so often that they could've just coasted on chemistry. Instead, they performed with real urgency, crafting a complimentary layout that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats, with Flair eventually tapping Bayley out with the Figure Eight.

A tasty teaser for the weekend's two Women's Title matches, this tagger hit the mark.
