13 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Nov 27)

8. Kiss The Ring

DDP Wardlow MJF

Diamond Dallas Page stepping to younger wrestlers at 63 years old is totally believable because DDP was 63 years old when he debuted, too.

His Dynamite Diamond Ring presentation bit worked. Emerging to a big pop, the Cody-affiliated legend was less than pleased with MJF and Wardlow's antics, slapping the victory hard on the shoulder. But, as the bigger man, Page congratulated him on his victory, offered a handshake, and waited for young Maxwell to take it.

This went predictably poorly. Rather than shaking, MJF took the chewing gum out of his mouth, slapped it in DDP's hand, and put the former WCW Champion in fight mode. Wardlow stepped in and a scrap ensued, though security broke it up before it could get too physical.

DDP's friendship with Cody makes him a valuable figure in AEW's shared universe and moments like this really show it. He's eternally over, so f*cking with him always gets a response, and this was a neat way to further the Cody/MJF feud without having them actively interacting with each other.
