13 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Nov 27)

5. Let's Just Stare At Each Other For A Bit

Jon Moxley
AEW

Jon Moxley vs. Chris Jericho is an exciting proposition under AEW's banner and should come off better than the times they wrestled in WWE. It makes sense from a heat perspective too, as with Kenny Omega on his self-proclaimed "road to retribution," Moxley is the hottest and most over star ready for 'Le Champion' to face next.

But the setup was uninspiring and the kind of thing your writer has criticised NXT for several times since debuting on USA Network.

The whole far-off staredown thing is unimaginative and feels unbecoming of Mox's character, as he's AEW's element of chaos. Is he really content to just stand on some stairs and lock eyes with Jericho? Meh.

Let's hope this doesn't become as regular a thing as it is over on the other channel.
