When Becky Lynch lost in the opening match, there was a feeling that maybe her night wasn’t over yet.

And when Lana limped out at #28 in the Royal Rumble match, unable to enter the ring, it became more obvious, as fans started chanting for Becky. And for once, WWE delivered what fans wanted. Lynch came out, pleaded with Fit Finley to put her into the match since only 29 women had entered, and he allowed it.

As Corey Graves noted, it was deafening in Chase Field as Becky raced to the ring to confront Nia Jax. Becky survived several near-eliminations, overcame a knee injury, and persevered to win the Rumble, eliminating Nia and Charlotte Flair on her way to WrestleMania.

It sets the stage for the match everyone has been clamoring for since November, provided WWE has the stones to pull it. And we might find out as soon as Raw Monday night.
