13 WWE Divas Champions That Left The Company

10. Melina

A six-year tenure as a WWE Diva is actually pretty impressive, given how fast some of Melina's contemporaries have come and gone. For some time, Melina would be used frequently as something of a female Tyler Breeze, wearing boot frills and playing an unapologetic narcissist. Based on plenty of backstage gossip, it seems that Melina's portrayal wasn't exactly a reach for her. After fading into the background through most of 2011, Melina was released from WWE that August. She spent the next year plying her trade on the independent circuit, prior to taking a three year break in which she was considered retired. In the summer of 2015, Melina revived her career, most notably during a very brief stretch with Lucha Underground.
