13 WWE Extreme Rules 2019 Impulse Reactions

1. Seth Rollins (c) Vs Brock Lesnar

And so the inevitable came to pass.

Brock Lesnar's Money In The Bank cash-in victory over Seth Rollins didn't bring with it the dread of his original victory, which perhaps damns Rollins' run with the red strap more than it credits 'The Beast'. The cathartic conclusions to his last two reigns presented both Roman Reigns and 'The Architect' respectively as saviours. As of 2019, Lesnar is again the safest pair of hands.

With SummerSlam in need of a main event, Brock will now be the first Champion booked by Paul Heyman going into the 'Biggest Party Of The Summer'. Will this tee up Rollins for round two as Universal Champion having beaten him in cleaner fashion in August, or could WWE have somebody entirely different in mind to go up against Brock? Braun Strowman appears to lead the chasing pack on tonight's evidence, but even speculation of that at this point seems vacant with both and Raw and SmackDown Live great unknowns.

Net positives, all around. Extreme Rules 2019, in a nutshell.
