The Warlord and The Barbarian debuted in the WWF in the late 1980s as The Powers of Pain. Their painted faces and well-muscled physiques made for quite an impressive appearance.

The height of their popularity came in 1988 when they were managed by the legendary Mr. Fuji and feuded with Demolition. Being that Demolition also hailed from Parts Unknown, it’s likely this feud left many of the region’s residents feeling very conflicted. The Powers of Pain failed to capture the titles from Ax and Smash, thus making them the only team on our list to have not held doubles gold.

Following their program with Demolition, the duo found themselves in undercard matches with teams like The Bushwhackers. The two men went their separate ways in 1990, with each man going on to have modest success as a singles competitor.
