13 WWE Theme Songs That Are Blatant Ripoffs
8. Akira Tozawa (Tomoyasu Hotei - Battle Without Honour Or Humanity)
Akira Tozawa's theme "Strawberry Moon" was debuted about two years ago, and CFO$ clearly hoped that enough time had passed since the release of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1 that they could "homage" one of its most memorable tracks.
Tozawa's theme pays tribute to Tomoyasu Hotei's "Battle Without Honour Or Humanity", which is memorably used to score O-Ren Ishii's (Lucy Liu) arrival at the The House of Blue Leaves in Tarantino's epic bloodbath.
Strawberry Moon features the same twangy guitars and brassy overtures, and if you're still not convinced, it's a theme for a Japanese wrestler inspired by a Japan-set movie. That's exactly the mental through-line WWE is working on.
At least this track is a tad more low-key than a lot of the others on this list, but still, it was used fairly extensively in commercials during the mid-2000s.
