Randy Orton was identified as a star before he even made it to the main roster. His 2002 debut year was marred by injury, but by the time of SummerSlam 2003 he was well on his way to stardom. He featured in the Elimination Chamber main event of that show, and was back a year later winning the World Title from Chris Benoit. From that point on, he has enjoyed a steady stream of main event positions. He's a top star and a reliable act for the WWE. However, he's also benefited from favouritism and a lack of main event rivals. On occasions it felt as if he was the main event guy simply because WWE didn't trust anyone else. His long title run from 2013 to 2014 resembled a main eventer who wasn't really over with the fans. It culminated in a WrestleMania 30 main event, but it wasn't as if Orton was the draw. Nevertheless, you can't knock him too much, he's a legend of his era and is only 35 years old. There's another eight years left if he wants to continue working at this level.
